Position Summary: KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly capable technical program manager to join our team in Dayton, OH (on-site). This role supports the Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE) Group in the development, implementation, and proliferation of mission system Government Reference Architectures (GRAs). These GRAs provide the backbone for enabling advanced sensor capability for emerging and legacy systems across the Air Force, other component services, and international partners. This position serves as a technical program manager performing cost, schedule, performance, and risk management for various contractual activities conducting open system architecture maturation, model-based systems engineering, software development, and system verification & validation. The ideal candidate would have experience in agile development, stakeholder management, and program management. Key Responsibilities: Utilize data-driven techniques to guide an industry/government consortium in the maturation, verification, and implementation of GRAs. Program management duties include balancing program cost and schedule factors to drive successful mission outcomes for the Government customer. Leads a multi-disciplinary industry and Government team in developing and executing technical and programmatic strategies focused on delivering superior open system architecture products that meet adopter needs. Utilizes adopter feedback to develop easy-to-use Government Reference Architectures and standards. Proactively engage with a diverse stakeholder community to ensure user feedback is rapidly and iteratively incorporated into ASE products. Works with stakeholders to formulate collaborative approaches to deliver successful program outcomes. Deliver: Process owner supporting Agile development of Government Reference Architectures and standards focused on delivering easy to use products and services supporting multiple customers. Perform: Support the Government customer in developing tactical execution plans based on high-level strategic guidance. Utilize agile management processes to lead an industry consortium in the execution of those plans. Gap Analysis & Risk Identification: Based on identified system capability gaps, system requirements, and stakeholder feedback, formulate and implement executable program strategies that deliver high-quality open architecture products. Identify and define suitable risk mitigation plans to address program and/or technical issues. Work Environment: Location: Onsite Travel Requirements: 0-10% Working Hours: Standard – Core hours 0900 - 1500 Qualifications: Required: Bachelor of Science is a technical field. Active Top Secret clearance. 3+ years in technical execution. 5+ years of technical program management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to form strong relationships with team members, customers, and other Government partners. Strong technical proficiency with a willingness/ability to learn about mission system software architectures. Work with a team of Government and industry SMEs to ensure that programmatic and technical objectives are met. Ability to own responsibility for deliverables, cost, and schedule. Ability to manage workload of simultaneous tasking in a fast paced, high-demand environment. Personality for a consensus building among multiple stakeholders with competing equities. Desired: 5+ years in technical execution in a software-related discipline. 7+ years of Government acquisition program management 3+ years working in Special Access environments Familiarity with Agile software development, CI/CD pipelines, and practices. Familiarity with existing DoD open architectures and standards including Agile Mission Suite (AMS), Open Mission Systems (OMS), Universal Command & Control Interface (UCI), or related open architectures.
