What does the job involve? The Manager Origination will be part of MMP CPL Origination team (CPL OAM). Primary responsibility will be for originating, developing, structuring and delivering leads for growth opportunities for the various crude, products and liquids trading desks. What will my tasks be? Within this position, your key tasks will be to: Act as a senior originator developing and structuring new growth opportunities for crude, LPG, Ethane, refined products and selected emerging fuels to support growth ambitions: Originate physical commodities offtakes and supplies in line with trading desks strategies and priorities. Arrange and support negotiation (or directly) negotiate related supporting infrastructure positions across multiple logistics modes. Lead contract reviews and fees negotiations for renewal of existing contracts in alignment with CPL and trading desks strategies. Manage internal and external stakeholders’ relationships to support business development activities. Drive systematic approach for the team to originate and develop growth opportunities. Continuously evaluate and enhance origination processes, systems, and strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. Drive and coordinate Structured Trade Finance opportunities supporting origination of growth opportunities. Active member of Crude, Products & Liquids Origination team supporting the Senior Manager and junior colleagues. Minimum 15 years relevant experience in commodity origination and/or trading and/or related commercial activity supporting origination and trading. Demonstrated ability to work within Equinor’s internal governance and risk mitigation processes. Ability to manage large, complex projects requiring specialized knowledge in the areas of asset management, commodity sourcing and selling, waterborne shipping and trade finance/structured trade finance. Network in global markets related to commodity origination and trading. Proven ability to initiate, structure and negotiate complex commodity agreements. Strong knowledge of commodity and financial markets. Experience in international crude oil, refined products and LPG/Ethane flows, trading and market dynamics. International experience and/or experience from working across cultures.
