Senior Angular Software Engineer - Design System - 12 Months Contract – Paris Hybrid – 3 days on site, 2 days remote Must be able to speak fluent French with a good command of English CV’s have to be in English Required: - JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS/SCSS. Angular, Node. Storybook, Style Dictionary, Nx, Jest, Cypress. CI/CD & DevOps: GitHub Actions, npm. Git, GitHub. Figma, Jira, Confluence. Project context My client is looking to evolve their Angular library, strengthen their technical foundations, & drive adoption across teams. Responsibilities Define & evolve the technical roadmap of the Design System Collaborate with designers to translate Figma components & tokens into reliable & reusable Angular components Make architectural decisions that ensure scalability, maintainability, & accessibility Develop, document, & maintain components with clear API design & robust test coverage Manage & optimize build & deployment pipelines through Nx, NPM, & GitHub Actions Write internal documentation, lead workshops & support teams in the integration of the design system Work with multiple teams to ensure system compatibility with various use cases, platforms, & technologies Qualifications Strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS/SCSS & Angular. Mastery of the packaging & distribution of high-performance NPM packages. Experience in creating & maintaining large-scale component libraries. Good understanding of design tokens, theme systems, & scalable CSS architectures. In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) & good testing practices. Ability to mentor peers, promote clean architecture & bridge the gap between design & engineering. Excellent communication skills & collaborative spirit.
