Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Trading Originator through 09/10/2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time Zone . The focus of this role will be originating business in North and South America across refined products particularly Middle Distillates, Fuels, and Feedstocks. The position requires in depth knowledge of commodity flows, asset infrastructure, and market players within those regions. The selected candidate will work with global cross-commodity teams to identify and secure opportunities that are an ideal fit to the Chevron trading portfolio. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Identify, pursue, and capture new supply and offtake agreements for S&T’s global portfolio. Originate opportunities through targeted customer solutions including physical optimization, financing, and risk management. Provide end-to-end deal management; ensure transaction structures, risks and trade-offs, execution options, negotiation mandates and stakeholder engagement plans are defined and evaluated. Cultivate strong network of internal and external contacts, drives market intel and business leads. Required Qualifications: · Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred · 8+ years of experience in trading and/or origination, and business development Preferred Qualifications: Trading and/or Origination: Trading and/or Origination experience with strong background in both physical and financial trading. track record of originating physical flows, logistics optimization, and structured finance strong background in closing complex commercial transactions through commercial negotiations, business development, trading and/or origination. Ability to develop trading strategies for medium to long term time horizons for physical and financial commodities in pursuit of system optimization and trading for profit. Ability to understand market alternatives and utilize that knowledge to make decisions in the best interest of the enterprise. Strong leadership, teamwork, communication and analytical skills. Strong entrepreneurial and negotiation skills. Bilingual Spanish speaker is not required but desired Entrepreneurial Leadership: learn and adapt to changes quickly think strategically and creatively ability to align & inspire stakeholder groups that are cross commodity, cross regional, cross value chain, and/or cross functional self-motivated and sustained high performance in delivering results strong communicator and networking skills ability to convey complex information so it is understandable and useful for decision making by diverse audiences and organizational levels well cultivated industry contacts ability to prioritize customer visits, listen to needs, and generate creative solutions while generating value for Chevron Project Management demonstrated ability to manage a deal from origination to development, negotiation, execution, implementation, and post-execution follow-up Consistent track-record of balancing multiple leads with deliberate speed Relocation Options: Relocation is not offered for this role.
