Job Title: Production Subsea & Inlet Day Superintendent Duration: 12 months (renewable) Schedule: Monday – Friday (Residential) Location: Milan, Italy About the Role Airswift is recruiting for a highly experienced Production Subsea & Inlet Day Superintendent to join our client's LNG operations team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading Subsea and Inlet production activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of LNG production facilities. This is a senior leadership position requiring extensive LNG operations experience, strong technical expertise in natural gas treatment and subsea systems, and a proven ability to manage production teams while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Lead daily Subsea and Inlet production activities to achieve production targets while ensuring LNG product specifications are met. Support Shift Production Teams with process troubleshooting, operational optimization, and technical problem-solving. Drive operational performance improvements and identify opportunities to enhance plant efficiency and reliability. Provide operational coverage for the Shift Production Superintendent during absences and support plant emergency response activities. HSE & Compliance Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all operations. Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, industry regulations, and environmental requirements. Conduct regular safety audits, plant integrity inspections, and operational reviews. Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses (RCA), risk assessments, and HAZOP studies. Ensure effective implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems and isolation management procedures. Production & Maintenance Coordination Coordinate planned maintenance activities with Maintenance and Inspection teams. Support shutdown planning, execution, and post-shutdown reviews. Manage isolation plans, spading plans, LO/LC registers, and operational documentation. Organize permit meetings and oversee critical work activities. Technical Support & Optimization Develop and review operating procedures, guidelines, and best practices. Support technical evaluations and plant modification initiatives. Investigate process disturbances, recommend corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are captured. Ensure technical integrity of Subsea and Inlet equipment and systems. People Management Lead, coach, and develop production personnel. Support competency development and succession planning initiatives. Prepare annual performance objectives and conduct employee appraisals. Mentor national workforce personnel through structured training and development programs. Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate records of operational activities and production performance. Review shift logs and operational reports. Prepare reports related to plant trips, abnormal operations, incidents, and production performance. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Applied Science, or a related engineering discipline. Advanced technical qualifications are advantageous. Experience Required Minimum 20 years of production experience within the Oil & Gas, LNG, or Petrochemical industries. Minimum 10 years in senior production leadership or supervisory positions. Minimum 10 years of experience in LNG operations, with strong exposure to Subsea facilities and natural gas treatment processes. Demonstrated experience managing large operational teams in an LNG production environment. Technical Competencies Extensive knowledge of LNG production operations and gas processing facilities. Strong expertise in natural gas treatment processes and subsea production systems. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex process upsets and operational challenges. In-depth understanding of HSE Management Systems and environmental compliance standards, including ISO 14001. Strong knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems and operational risk management. Experience in emergency response management and crisis handling. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
