The Biofuels Compliance and Regulatory Reporting Analyst MED is responsible for biofuels compliance and regulatory reporting tasks, supporting the MED team, owning daily compliance tasks and ensuring accurate operational reporting, robust control processes and high quality data to run regulatory compliance, completion of audits and transparent business decision making. The MED team is integrated in a European organization that coordinate teams in Bochum, Madrid and London to standardize and simplify processes and ensure operational compliance. Key Accountabilities: Ownership of SAF compliance and submissions. Support for the MED team on RED II, Energy Efficiency, CORES, ETS II and other compliance tasks. Ensure accurate recording, validation, and reconciliation of renewable fuel transactions, including purchases, production, imports, exports, transfers, sales, and inventory movements. Maintain the integrity of sustainability data, including feedstock information, chain of custody requirements, sustainability characteristics, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions savings. Lead the allocation and tracking of sustainability attributes and certificates to ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements. Monitor and reconcile mass balance positions to ensure alignment between operational, commercial, and sustainability records. Coordinate with Supply, Trading, Operations, Finance, Sustainability, and external counterparties to resolve data discrepancies and ensure accurate mass balance accounting. Perform and oversee day-to-day assurance and sustainability operations tasks including matching PoS to incoming volumes, assigning and generating PoS to outgoing volumes and stocks, following guidance from commercial colleagues, ensuring traceability and audit readiness for multiple countries. Act as a key operational interface to internal stakeholders across Supply, Demand Planning, Finance, and IT, providing transparency and assurance on compliance-relevant topics. Exchange and align with third parties (customers, suppliers, storage operators) to facilitate compliance workflows. Support the wider Biofuels Compliance and Regulatory Reporting Team in managing change and new processes. Support the consistent application of bp values, control standards, and operational excellence principles across all assigned activities. Participate in the preparation and execution of internal and external audits (ISCC EU Audit and others where relevant), including invoice processes, by providing data, documentation, and analysis, and assist in tracking, addressing, and closing audit findings. Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements, including automation, digitalisation, and standardisation of reporting and assurance activities for RPT. Requirements: Education Business or Engineering degree. Experience Experience in Supply, Trading, Refining, Finance, Performance Management, Compliance, or related operational roles. Experience in control, reporting, assurance, or systems-based processes is beneficial. Exposure to fuels, inventory management, and sustainability-related topics is an advantage. Skills & Competencies Willingness to learn and understand operational processes, controls, and reporting requirements, and find opportunities for improvement. Strong analytical capabilities with high attention to detail and data quality. Ability to operate independently within defined frameworks and to prioritize deliverables in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. Strong affinity for systems, digital tools, and process optimisation. Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style.
