Piping Designer (E3D Designer) KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. We are looking for an experienced Principal Piping Designer to lead offshore platform and FPSO piping design activities, develop and coordinate 3D models using E3D/S3D, and provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary design teams throughout project execution. Job Responsibilities: Plan/perform 3D-modeling using E3D for Mechanical, Safety, Soft Volumes, Escape & Transport Routes, Access and Material Handling Routes, Equipment modelling, Package modelling with required TP points, Piping and Pipe supports Familiar with Off-shore facilities – Platforms and FPSO layout design, Material handling, Piping/Pipe support design, safety requirements, conduct 3D Model reviews as per the project requirements Effectively manage Design changes and provide appropriate solutions as and when needed during the project execution Coordinate with other discipline design teams to achieve optimal use of the 3D modelling space and minimize last minute changes to the design Liaise closely with the pipe stress team to acquire inputs for finalizing the pipe routing and pipe support locations and types Vendor drawing review for the static Equipment’s/Rotating Equipment’s/ Packages and ensure all the Nozzle orientations, Vessel cleats support requirements are in line with Design Requirements Perform and check the Model object clashes on regular basis and collaborate with other disciplines for effective cleaning of the 3D Model to make it clash free before the construction Assist Lead Engineer for the quality plan for layout/piping design, preparing plan and schedule, estimate, progress measurement, contribute for the technical presentations and write ups Job Requirements: Diploma or ITE Certificate in Mechanical Engineering with exposure to piping layout design Minimum 15 years' of relevant experience Familiar with offshore/FPSO piping layout and support design concepts Shall be able to work independently with minimum guidance, and coordinate well with the Piping Materials and Stress teams besides other disciplines Shall possess hands-on exposure to S3D suite of application including MDS Shall be able to lead and guide a team of Piping/MDS Designers on assigned areas/sub-areas Have performed as Senior Piping Designer in similar sized offshore platform/FPSO projects Has offshore platform/FPSO Piping and support design experience KBR — Delivering Solutions, Changing the World.
