Ecuador-Quito-Asesor Senior de Impuestos-Finance (Quito, P, EC)

Job Duties Under general supervision, supports tax reporting and compliance with a core understanding of the Internal Revenue Code or applicable statutory authority and it&aposs applicability to financial (general ledger) data. May support the monthly general ledger close, analyze financial accounting data on a monthly basis, and perform an account analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts. Reviews functions of more junior staff and provides insight with regard to optimization of internal controls. Evaluates reasonableness of assumptions made in tax calculations and determining relevant facts and arriving at conclusion supported by laws. Works with tax law and accounting provisions, assists with preparation of statutory filings and/or tax returns, and provides support to Tax Managers in audits and preparation of responses to various taxing authority notices. Completion of an undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field required and a minimum of 2 years related experience required. Qualifications Degree in: Accounting and Auditing, Finance. Minimum experience: 6-7 years in Audit firms, Tax and accounting departments. Practical knowledge of: LRTI and its regulations, SRI Resolutions, Municipal tax rules. Proven experience in preparing SRI annexes and indirect tax returns. Strong command of Ecuadorian tax regulations. Solid knowledge of IFRS and the ability to analyze accounting ledgers and financial statements. Knowledge of internal tax controls. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, reconciliations, and data validations. Intermediate to advanced English.
