Laboratory Chem Analyst Job Description: Typically, the successful candidate will: Operate as the technical focal point and skill guardian for analytical techniques applied within the workgroup. Initiate and implement new developments to further improve laboratory support capabilities. Perform complex analytical projects, including preparing project proposals and delivering results effectively. Review and challenge project proposals to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose and support operational requirements. Drive continuous improvements to the efficiency and quality of routinely applied analytical methods. Ensure that non-routine laboratory work supporting operational units is fit for purpose. Stay abreast of analytical developments within Shell and across the industry in the relevant area of expertise. Provide technical training, guidance, and coaching to laboratory staff.
