Logging Geologist-SDL, II-211655 (Luanda, LUA, AO)

Job Duties Learn the fundamentals of the Surface Data Logging (SDL) service line under direct supervision. Assist with the collection and reporting of on-site geological and drilling data for customers. Develop a basic understanding of drilling theory, mud logging techniques, and related job responsibilities. Collect drilled cuttings at specified depth intervals. Handle the transportation of drilled cuttings and maintain records of transported intervals. Ensure the work area is kept clean and organized. Attend training sessions and participate in on-the-job development activities related to: Mud logging fundamentals Data collection and reporting Gas system operations Complete induction courses and other required training programs. Obtain necessary safety, offshore, operational, and customer-specific certifications to access designated rig sites. Apply knowledge gained through an undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline or Geology. Demonstrate technical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Utilize strong communication, arithmetic, data entry, and record-keeping skills. Successfully pass company assessments and meet task guideline requirements. Work in an entry-level SDL field position designed for individuals with little or no experience in the petroleum or related industries. Perform duties primarily in a field-based environment.
