Working within a highly regarded engineering environment, you will lead reinforced concrete design activities for complex industrial facilities, including concrete structures, equipment foundations, structural foundations, and water treatment facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on a large-scale energy project while coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams in an international environment. The Role As an Experienced Reinforced Concrete Lead Designer, you will oversee the delivery of reinforced concrete design activities and ensure compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, and industry best practices. You will be responsible for coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines, managing interfaces, supervising design production, and ensuring the quality of drawings and deliverables produced by international engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Reinforced Concrete Design & Technical Oversight Lead and coordinate reinforced concrete design activities for industrial facilities. Review and supervise the production of designs related to: Concrete structures Equipment foundations Structural foundations Water treatment structures and basins Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and engineering best practices. Verify reinforcement detailing and reinforcement schedules. Review and validate engineering deliverables prior to issue. Interface Management & Coordination Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary project teams including: Piping Electrical Instrumentation Equipment Safety Environmental disciplines Ensure supplier requirements are properly incorporated into design drawings. Manage interfaces involving embedded parts, anchor bolts, steel inserts, and related components. Organize and participate in technical coordination meetings with engineering teams and suppliers. Team Leadership Provide technical leadership to reinforced concrete design teams. Coordinate and review work performed by international engineering centers, including remote teams. Monitor design progress and prioritize engineering modifications. Ensure consistency between Civil/Structural deliverables and other discipline documentation. Maintain and manage project master drawings and engineering comments. Quality Assurance & Reporting Ensure compliance with project QA/QC procedures and engineering standards. Review drawings against calculation notes and interface requirements. Manage technical comments, revisions, and document traceability. Maintain action and pending item registers. Provide regular reporting to the Project Manager and Department Manager. Software & Tools Mandatory experience with: AutoCAD BricsCAD Navisworks Microsoft Office 365 Candidate Profile Education Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience Minimum 10 years' experience in reinforced concrete design within industrial projects. Proven experience in the Oil & Gas, LNG, Energy, Petrochemical, or Industrial sectors. Strong experience leading multidisciplinary design teams. Demonstrated experience managing remote engineering teams. Background in EPC or major international engineering projects is highly desirable. Technical Skills Strong expertise in reinforced concrete structures and foundations. Advanced knowledge of reinforcement detailing and formwork design. Excellent understanding of multidisciplinary engineering interfaces. Ability to review, challenge, and validate technical deliverables.
