Senior Project Planner

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Planner to join a major projects team supporting a portfolio of capital projects. This role is ideally suited to a planning professional who thrives in complex project environments and has strong expertise in Primavera P6 . About the Role As the Senior Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing project schedules to support effective project delivery and decision-making. Working closely with engineering, project management, and stakeholder groups, you will provide schedule forecasting, progress reporting, and planning expertise across multiple projects. ASAP start 12-month contract $85 - $90 per hour + super Major industrial hub south of Perth 5 days per week, 8-hour days Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 Track project progress and provide regular schedule performance reporting Produce project lookaheads, forecasts, and schedule analyses Support schedule risk assessments and forecast project outcomes Conduct schedule audits and ensure compliance with planning standards and governance requirements Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and key stakeholders Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes, procedures, and best practices Provide planning expertise to support project investment and delivery decisions About You Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Planning role Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 Strong understanding of project controls and schedule management principles Experience supporting large-scale capital projects Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities A tertiary qualification in Engineering or significant equivalent industry experience If you're an experienced Project Planner looking for your next contract opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
