DS1 Security Manager Position title: DS1 Security Manager Position status: Expat Position reports to: Project Security Manager Department: HSSE - Security Rotation pattern: 28/28 Rotation Job purpose The DS1 Security Manager is responsible for the Security of Degassing Station One (DS 1) and providing a secure environment in which to operate. He is also responsible for all Majnoon field access permissions in accordance with BOC and Ministry of Oil Information/ Security Clearances Office (MoO ISCO) procedures. He manages a team of Iraqi Staff to (1) administer IFMS OFP database and (2) administer input & change data to the Lenel field access control system and issuance of field access badges. He supports the BOC(S) and PACs lead managing Entry Control Point One. Duties and responsibilities · Overall responsible for the security standard operating procedures (SOP’s) at DS1 & the DS1 Facility Security Plan. · Maintaining the Security Operating Level (SOL) in accordance with the Field Security Plan (FSP) and managing change when required. · Designated on scene commander (OSC) for all security related incidents at DS1. · Providing security awareness training to all employees at DS1. · Implementing loss prevention procedures and ensuring security of offices during the quiet hours. · Security incident reporting to the Field Security Manager. · Supports BOC(S) PACs Lead and OPF Integration Lead with ECP1 operations when required. · Approves all field access control submissions in accordance with BOC & MoO ISCO procedures. · Responsible for managing Majnoon access control procedures (including database) and implements changes in accordance with BOC & MoO ISCO directives. · Line manages the third party Iraqi Security administrative team, inclusive of role specific training and personal development. · Field access focal point for all field contractors. · Maintains relations & daily engagements with key Iraqi stakeholders to support field business requirements (MoO, BOC, OPF & IP when required). · Maintains sustainable logistics support for DS 1 security operations and field access. · Fault reporting of physical and technical security infrastructure for corrective action. · Supports the site operations supervisor during planned works to ensure appropriate security coverage and measures. · Provision of routine and non-standard reports as required by the business. Qualification & Training requirements · Management certificate, diploma, recognition of prior learning (RPL) in security/risk management (preferable but not essential). Experience · Previous Military/Law Enforcement experience. · Minimum of five years’ management in commercial security. · Two years’ experience in Hostile Environment is a minimum qualifying period. · Relevant job experience within the Oil & Gas Industry. Language proficiency, computer and software skills · Intermediate user of Microsoft Office related software. · Advanced English – (verbal & written) Skills · Ability to work cohesively and communicate successfully in multi-cultural teams whilst being aware of and sensitive to cultural differences. · Capable of operating unsupervised and making balanced decisions. · Ability to operate under pressure and meet stringent business timelines when required. · Good verbal communication skills. · Good written communication & Presentation skills. · Good knowledge of corporate Security Operations and Procedures. · Good knowledge of Private Security Company operations for Mobile and Manned guarding. · Interpersonal Skills - Approachable and capable of maintaining stakeholder relations. · Good analytical capability.
