Senior Mine Geologist Underground

Working closely with the wider Technical Services and Operations teams, you will provide leadership across underground mine geology activities, supporting the safe and effective delivery of grade control, production geology, drilling, geological modelling and reconciliation. You will play an important role in maintaining geological confidence and ensuring quality geological information is available to support short and medium-term mine planning and production decisions. The position will see you provide technical guidance and mentoring to the geology team while maintaining a strong presence across day-to-day underground activities. You will work collaboratively with Mining Engineering, Planning and Production to optimise ore recovery, minimise dilution and ensure geological outcomes align with operational requirements. Beyond day-to-day production, you will have the opportunity to take genuine ownership of the geology function by reviewing existing systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing more effective processes and procedures. The operation is looking for someone who is comfortable challenging existing ways of working, introducing new ideas and helping build a high-performing geology team.
