Job Duties Supervise on-site Directional Drilling (DD) operations, ensuring accurate wellbore trajectory projection to reach the target coordinates. Utilize specialized DD software to support analysis and provide technical advice to the customer during drilling operations. Perform well survey calculations and trajectory projections, updating well profiles and providing accurate data to the customer. Assist in the preparation of the daily directional drilling report. Support the completion of the Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) performance report for each run. Complete service tickets and technical documentation, including well data sheets, lessons learned, End of Job Customer Satisfaction (EJCS) surveys, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Maintain detailed records of DD equipment, ensuring proper organization and preservation in accordance with internal procedures. Work closely with the MWD (Measurement While Drilling) Engineer to ensure BHA compatibility and operational parameters remain within specifications. Inspect equipment received for DD operations and ensure compliance with customer requirements. Apply technical knowledge during BHA assembly, including proper torque application, lubrication, and handling practices. Remain attentive to customer requirements regarding directional survey procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field. Active professional registration with CREA (Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy). High Intermediate English proficiency. Proven experience in directional drilling, BHA assembly, and real-time data interpretation. Ability to read and interpret well plans, directional surveys, and site technical information. Technical profile aligned with industry standards and best practices. Strong communication skills, solid arithmetic abilities, and attention to detail in data entry and recordkeeping.
