Job Title- GMP Piping Supervisor GPP Location- Basra, Iraq Rotation - 14/14 Project/Context: Gas Midstream Project (GMP) under GGIP DPC in Basra, Iraq (SGC / Iraqi Ministry of Oil). Scope covers gas gathering pipelines , Gas Processing Plant (GPP) ( 300 MMSCFD train expandable to 2 trains), and condensate storage & export/offloading jetty at Umm Qasr . Role purpose Support safe and compliant mechanical/construction execution across GMP scopes (pipelines, GPP, export/jetty interfaces), ensuring strong coordination with contractors and stakeholders under SIMOPS conditions. Must-have responsibilities Maintain effective working relationships with contractors: flexible when needed, firm on standards (HSE/quality/schedule). Coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a multi-cultural JV/client environment (SGC + contractor JV + contractors/subcontractors). Work safely and effectively under SIMOPS , ensuring adherence to TEEPRH requirements. Support construction delivery on gas facilities / pipelines / processing plant / export facilities (as applicable to assignment). Must-have qualifications & experience Mechanical Engineering degree (or closely related engineering/construction discipline). 5–10 years Oil & Gas experience , with significant construction exposure (onshore facilities/pipelines/plant execution). Proven ability to work in SIMOPS environments. Strong English (spoken + written). Strong communication/interpersonal skills; comfortable in a multi-cultural environment.
