Job Role Description
The Portfolio Coordinator will be a key member of a highly integrated Trading team, playing a critical role in delivering the Trading Vision amid the growing scale, complexity, and volatility of the LNG portfolio. This role ensures the smooth, safe, and reliable delivery of LNG cargoes to and from our customers. The Portfolio Coordinator will achieve this by developing, implementing, and stewarding long
‑
term SPAs, Annual Delivery Programs (ADP), and LNG trading deliveries, while identifying optimization opportunities in close collaboration with the LNG Trading and Optimization teams. The role is expected to uphold agreed standards of customer service, ensure full contract compliance, and safeguard EM’s commercial interests. It also involves regular engagement and interaction with external counterparties.
Job Role Responsibilities
Innovate, seek optimization opportunities and drive value captures by working with LNG teams, including LNG optimization, marketing, trading, shipping and analytics teams
Participate in LNG long term contract negotiation and contract review to build in flexibilities / optionality for future optimization
Manage highly complex scheduling / delivery with expanding portfolio and maintain relationships with all stakeholders (Buyers / Sellers, LNG Marketer, Trader, Lifting Coordination Groups, Ship Charterer, Ship Scheduler, Contract Administrator and in-country representative) to enable timely lifting and delivery of cargoes
Manage supply & demand planning, focus on developing Annual Delivery Program with potential optimization opportunities, optimize 90-Day Schedule, co-ordinate day-to-day LNG cargo deliveries and other schedule adjustments together with the LNG optimization team
Maximize value of volume with general interest, swap cargo / volume transfer to capture higher value
Create new outlets and expand global market footprint
Manage contractual rights and obligations of to protect base SPA values
Take multiple times thought out decisions and actions to build in value at risk (VaR) on spread book, and trading takes / manages risk to make money
Manage timely Endur entries in consistent with trading strategies to ensure real time VaR for management risk reporting
Produce stewardship and customer service standard reports; prepare internal / external presentation
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Master’s degree in Economics or Engineering preferred
10 or more years of professional work experience (preferably in LNG)
Ability to read, understand and execute contractual clauses (especially operational clauses) to protect company interest
Innovative mind to seek optimization opportunity to create value to contribute bottom line
Highly collaborative with all internal and external stakeholders
Competent in negotiation and influencing of internal and external stakeholders to drive values
Possess analytical skills to understand Portfolio value and the impacts of scheduling and nomination changes, evaluating trade-offs and optionalities
Able to work in multi-cultural environment
Able to work 24/7 basis as it is an operational role
