Mechanical Engineer

Support the delivery of major mining studies and projects across a portfolio of operating assets. Contribute to project phases including scoping studies, prefeasibility, feasibility and execution. Develop and review mechanical engineering designs in accordance with relevant codes, standards and project requirements. Prepare mechanical calculations, equipment selections, datasheets and technical documentation. Support the development of equipment lists, piping schedules, utility consumption lists, lubrication schedules and bills of materials. Review engineering deliverables including layouts, general arrangements, design drawings and 3D models. Assist with the specification, procurement and delivery of mechanical equipment packages. Prepare technical requisitions and contribute to vendor evaluations and equipment selection activities. Review vendor documentation and provide technical support throughout the procurement process. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, safety reviews, cost estimates and schedule reviews. Support multidisciplinary project teams to deliver fit-for-purpose engineering solutions. Provide technical input during construction, commissioning and project handover activities where required. Build strong relationships with operational, maintenance, projects and engineering stakeholders. Support brownfield and sustaining capital projects aimed at improving safety, performance and reliability. Ensure engineering deliverables are completed in line with company standards, governance requirements and industry best practice.
