Painter/Blaster

Perform surface preparation activities, which include masking and sanding of product prior to painting or sandblasting.
Clean and maintain paint shop equipment such as air lines, fluid lines, paint pots, paint guns and respirators.
Paint blast and coat products Clean and store empty paint containers for proper disposal Maintain and change paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as needed.
Properly contain hazardous waste generated from normal paint shop operations Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Knowledge/basic understanding of blasting processes to include maintaining airlines, fluid lines, paint guns cleaning tanks & respirator tanks.
Adds surface roughness test tape to paint reports Sandblasts heavy steel equipment to NACE/SSPC standards.
Wears a respirator when performing blasting operations.
Cleans/maintain airlines and respirators.
Assist with cleanliness of the paint area.
Ability to work with heavy equipment and lift 45 pounds Capability to learn on the job and apply.
Performs tasks necessary to complete products to engineering specifications and quality requirements.
Performs other work-related tasks as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
