Heavy Lift Crane Operator

We are supporting our client, a leading organization in the oil and gas sector, in recruiting a skilled Heavy Lift Crane Operator to join our client's team in Dubai. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation and daily maintenance of heavy lift cranes, while also leading and mentoring deck crews in a demanding offshore environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The Heavy Lift Crane Operator is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the cranes, and in addition to this, manages the Roustabouts.
Supervises that all the activities are carried out in accordance with the Chief Officer and delivers essential on the job crew training within lifting and slinging.
Furthermore, the Heavy Lift Crane Operator functions as the Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) in connection with helicopter operations.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and general maintenance of the various cranes located on the vessel.
Responsible for safety and efficiently lifting and moving/relocating equipment, containers, pipe, systems, groceries and various materials and supplies utilized in the operations and daily functions of the vessel. This includes offloading and back-loading of personnel, equipment and supplies, etc. from water vessels as well as moving heavy or bulky materials throughout the vessel.
Responsible for the safe and efficient work of the roustabouts as well as for the supervision and training of the roustabouts who provide the maintenance on the vessel.
Maintain good two-way communication with crew members.
Participate in the development of newly appointed team members.
Participate in company approved and recommended training as required both on and offshore.
Regulatory compliance related to function.
Assist team in maintenance of equipment as required.
Ensure safe and efficient operations on equipment.
Ensure compliance with the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Operational Integrity (HSEOI) Management System.
