Structural Engineer

Our client is a North Sea operator currently recruiting for the position of Structural Engineer (staff) based in Aberdeen.
Leadership & Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for structural integrity across company-operated assets.
• Lead the development and continual improvement of structural integrity strategies and programmes.
• Identify, assess and communicate structural risks to support effective business decision-making.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams on structural compliance, defect management and life-extension activities.
• Influence stakeholders across operations, maintenance, projects and integrity disciplines.
• Engage confidently with regulators, independent verifiers and external specialists.

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or a related engineering discipline.
• Significant experience in structural engineering within the UK oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of asset integrity management, structural degradation mechanisms and risk-based inspection practices.
• Knowledge of relevant UK regulatory requirements, engineering codes and industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards chartership) with a relevant professional institution is desirable.
