Senior Engine Testing Performance Engineer Electrical

We are looking for a suitable candidate for our client which is a Saudi industrial joint venture focused on manufacturing and servicing large marine and land-based engines in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It is described as the first company in the region dedicated to manufacturing and servicing engines for marine and land applications.
Job Title: Senior Engine Testing & Performance Engineer (Electrical)
Department: Design The Senior 2-Stroke Engine Testing & Performance Engineer is responsible for performing and evaluating the test results of large 2- and 4-stroke engines according to operational and legislative requirements. In addition to this, this role leads the troubleshooting and resolution of electrical and instrumentation issues during engine production, acceptance tests, and post commissioning phases. The designer also manages and controls any arising issues related to the electrical systems and instruments throughout the production process and after the engine is operational, ensuring high reliability and performance of the engines in field conditions.
Key Accountabilities :
Successfully perform engine Factory Acceptance Tests for 2- and 4-stroke large engines, evaluate the test results and generate the required documents such as NOx technical file and other reports. • Design electrical and instrumentation system tailored to large engine manufacturing and establish the standard of technology and drawings. • Communicate and work with the licensor & technical partners for electrical and instrumentation engineering problems. • Standardization of electrical component integration and instrument calibration processes to enhance engine performance and reliability. • Work in close coordination with the production planning and procurement departments to ensure the timely availability of electrical components and instrumentation tools needed for engine production. • Interact with the Quality Management department to address any electrical or instrumentation issues that arise during the production process, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality standards. • Troubleshooting engine quality issues during the production with the Operations Business Line in the shop or with the customers related to electrical and instrumentation. • Analyze system performance data related to electrical systems and instrumentation, identify trends, and drive improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce downtime. • Provide technical support to production technicians and operators on electrical systems and instrumentation, including troubleshooting and problem resolution. • Ensure all electrical and instrumentation designs comply with industry safety standards and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability within the production facilities. • Perform additional duties related to electrical systems and instrumentation design and implementation as assigned by the line manager.
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical / Instrumentation engineering, or a related discipline.
