What You Will Do: Complete daily work functions within production operations in a safe and efficient manner Blend, react, package, and transfer finished chemical products while maintaining quality standards Operate mechanical and electrical equipment including pumps, mixers, automation control systems, and packaging equipment Perform forklift operations to move raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout the facility Complete production documentation including production tickets, goods receipts, inventory transactions, and shipping documentation Conduct daily inspections of equipment and work areas while maintaining housekeeping standards throughout the facility Comply with all plant safety initiatives, environmental requirements, and quality procedures, including near-miss and incident reporting Assist with physical inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy Ensure compliance with all applicable ISO requirements and company operating procedures Work closely with Production Team Leads and cross-functional teams to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations Position Details: Location: Odessa, TX Department: Chemical Technologies Manufacturing Operations Reports to: Production Team Leads Ability to work the assigned plant operations schedule, including overtime as needed Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator Physically able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 60 pounds Ability to climb stairs and ladders and perform bending, squatting, kneeling, and other physical activities required in a manufacturing environment Must have the ability to safely work in an industrial manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role Physical Demands: May be required to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 60 pounds. Ability to climb stairs and ladders on a regular basis. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and perform repetitive physical activities throughout the workday. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including a respirator. Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing. Preferred Qualifications: Two-year Process Technology degree preferred Minimum of one year of experience as an operator in a batch or specialty chemical manufacturing plant Minimum of one year of relevant manufacturing or production experience Forklift operation certification preferred 24-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred Basic computer application literacy, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn internal business systems Prior experience that demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills Prior experience that demonstrates strong work ethic, effective time management, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment About Us: ChampionX is now part of SLB, a global technology company driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.
