Product Technology Engineer (Shanghai, SH, CN, 200241)

Position Description: As a Product Technology Engineer, you will apply engineering skills and polymer product knowledge to support ExxonMobil’s polypropylene and elastomer business. You will work closely with customers and cross-functional global teams to enable effective product, application, and solution development that delivers business value. Key Responsibilities: •    Provide technical support and maintain effective technical relationships with existing and prospective customers to support business development objectives. •    Address product performance and processing related issues, and clearly articulate the value of ExxonMobil’s performance products. •    Identify and pursue new product and application opportunities by translating market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights into technical solutions. •    Lead technical projects or contribute as a member of regional or global teams to develop new products or application solutions that demonstrate clear value propositions. •    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and manufacturing, to support product portfolio development and business growth. Required Skills and Qualifications •    M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field. •    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply technical knowledge to practical challenges. •    Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in multi-cultural teams. •    Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership. •    Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
