We are seeking an experienced
Project Cost Controller
to provide specialist cost control and forecasting support across large, complex capital projects within heavy industrial environments.
This is a site-based role working closely with Project Managers, Planning, Procurement, Construction, and Finance teams to ensure robust cost governance and transparent reporting across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Establish and manage cost breakdown structures aligned to scope and schedule
Monitor, analyse, and forecast project costs, commitments, and accruals
Prepare accurate monthly cost reports, trend analysis, and variance explanations
Track cost impacts from changes, risks, and opportunities
Review and validate contractor claims and cost performance
Support funding approvals, tendering activities, and project assurance reviews
Contribute to project closeout, capitalisation, and post‑project reviews
Apply and promote standardised cost control practices and continuous improvement
About You
Degree qualified in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or similar (or equivalent experience)
Experience in project cost control within mining, refining, or heavy industrial capital projects
Experience on large, multi‑disciplinary projects
Strong knowledge of cost governance, forecasting, and reporting frameworks
Advanced Excel skills and experience with project cost management systems
Confident communicator with the ability to present cost insights to senior stakeholders
High regard for safety, compliance, and working to established standards
