Field Engineering Technologist Key Responsibilities Field & Construction Coordination • Support day to day field execution activities under direction of the Construction Manager • Coordinate contractor activities through Field Supervisors to align with approved schedules and work plans • Participate in site walk downs, lead construction and progress meetings. • Verify actual field construction progress against drawings, specifications, and work packages • Identify execution risks and escalate issues proactively Safety & Compliance • Actively support site safety programs and contractor safety compliance • Participate in hazard identification, job safety meetings, and field observations • Verify that contractors are working in accordance with approved safety plans, permits, and procedures • Model and reinforce safe work behavior in the field • Immediately escalate unsafe conditions or non compliance Project Controls & Documentation • Maintain accurate field documentation including: -Daily reports -Quantities and installed progress -Inspection and verification records • Support cost and schedule tracking by validating work completed • Assist with change identification and documentation • Support forecasting, reporting, and close out documentation as required Contractor Interface & Verification • Interface directly with contractors to: -Clarify scope, drawings, and specifications -Verify progress and completion of work -Identify variances or non conformance • Track contractor performance against approved plans • Communicate observations, risks, and recommendations to project leadership Stakeholder Communication • Serve as a liaison between field operations, engineering, project controls, and management • Review and contribute feedback to progress reports and coordination meetings • Escalate issues clearly, factually, and in a timely manner Qualifications & Experience • Diploma or degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field • 6-8 years of experience supporting major construction projects • Strong understanding of construction field practices and safety requirements • Experience working with contractors and multi disciplinary teams • Strong documentation, communication, and organisational skills • Comfortable working in active field environments #LI-LD1
