We are supporting a major offshore oil and gas development in Suriname and are looking for an experienced
Procurement, Stock, Methods & SAP Support
specialist to join the Supply Chain team.
This is a diverse role supporting procurement operations, inventory management, SAP administration, and continuous improvement initiatives as the project progresses towards production operations.
Working closely with Procurement, Logistics, Drilling, Wells, Marine, and Operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring materials, services, and procurement processes support safe and efficient offshore operations.
The Role
You will act as the focal point for procurement support, inventory optimisation, procurement governance, and SAP Materials Management activities, ensuring procurement processes are delivered efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.
The position combines operational procurement, supply chain support, SAP expertise, and process improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Support
Prepare and administer Call-Off Orders under existing contracts
Support operational departments with procurement activities for low-risk and low-value requirements
Prepare purchase orders and manage simplified procurement processes
Support commercial evaluations and supplier clarification activities
Monitor supplier performance and expedite deliveries to meet operational schedules
Ensure procurement activities are completed in line with project priorities
Maintain effective contract administration and procurement documentation
Stock & Inventory Management
Monitor inventory levels and availability of critical spare parts
Coordinate replenishment activities with warehouse and logistics teams
Analyse stock consumption trends and recommend optimisation opportunities
Monitor slow-moving, surplus, and obsolete inventory
Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity within SAP
Support warehouse performance reviews and inventory optimisation initiatives
Procurement Methods & Continuous Improvement
Act as focal point for procurement procedures, templates, and methodologies
Promote procurement governance and compliance with company procedures
Maintain procurement documentation and standard workflows
Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare performance reports
Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and support digitalisation initiatives
Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices
SAP Procurement & Materials Management
Act as the affiliate focal point for SAP Procurement and Materials Management
Support users with SAP purchasing and inventory transactions
Coordinate master data quality activities
Support SAP upgrades, testing, and implementation of new functionality
Deliver SAP user training and awareness sessions
Monitor system compliance and data quality
Liaise with corporate SAP support teams and key business users
Compliance & Risk
Ensure procurement activities comply with company governance, ethics, and anti-corruption requirements
Support internal and external audits
Monitor procurement compliance indicators
Identify procurement risks and recommend mitigation actions
Maintain complete procurement records and audit trails
Candidate Profile
Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Procurement, or a related discipline
5+ years' experience within Procurement, Supply Chain, or Materials Management in the oil & gas or energy sector
Strong understanding of procurement and inventory management processes
Experience using
SAP Materials Management (MM)
and procurement modules
Knowledge of procurement governance, contract administration, and inventory control
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
Experience supporting operational or production environments is highly desirable
Fluent in English
