Entity: Technology Job Family Group: IT&S Group Job Description: Job Purpose The Digital Staff Enterprise Engineer is responsible for overseeing the digital platforms supporting Castrol China's supply chain and data ecosystem, ensuring delivery excellence, operational stability, security, and continuous improvement. The role leads the development and execution of enterprise digital roadmaps, drives modernization initiatives, and establishes robust operational and security practices across the digital landscape. The position partners with business and digital teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that support manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, sales, marketing, finance, and enterprise data management capabilities. Key Accountabilities Digital Product Delivery Oversee the delivery and ongoing operation of Supply Chain and Data Platform products, ensuring high-quality outcomes and business value realization. Partner with local and global stakeholders to define technical, architectural, security, and compliance requirements. Lead the successful delivery of complex digital programs and projects as technical lead, solution designer, or project manager. Establish and maintain effective governance, change management, and release management practices. Data and Analytics Engineering Lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts. Ensure effective data ingestion, transformation, governance, quality management, and lifecycle management practices. Apply deep understanding of business processes across supply chain, sales and marketing, and finance to enable high-value data solutions. Drive adoption of modern data architecture principles and best practices across the enterprise. Security, Risk and Compliance Ensure enterprise platforms comply with corporate security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Design and implement security monitoring, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and risk mitigation controls. Contribute to enterprise governance frameworks, security policies, and digital risk management strategies. Promote secure-by-design principles throughout solution development and operational activities. Operational Excellence Ensure the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of enterprise digital services. Lead incident, problem, capacity, and operational risk management activities in accordance with ITIL principles. Drive automation through DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and test automation practices. Develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience plans for critical platforms and services. Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Vendor and Stakeholder Management Manage digital vendors, service providers, contracted resources, and strategic partners to ensure value delivery and performance. Build strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders across local and global teams. Influence digital decisions through technical expertise, business insight, and collaborative leadership. Ensure digital investments deliver measurable business outcomes and optimized financial performance. Leadership and Capability Development Provide digital leadership and mentorship to engineering, operations, and security teams. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, collaboration, and operational excellence. Support the development of technical capabilities and engineering best practices across the organization. Digital Strategy and Architecture Lead the architecture, engineering, and optimization of enterprise digital platforms supporting Castrol China's digital products. Define and implement digital roadmaps aligned to business priorities and global digital strategies. Design scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise solutions across supply chain and data platforms. Collaborate with enterprise architects and senior digital leaders to ensure alignment with strategic digital standards and frameworks. Drive digital modernization initiatives and integration of enterprise platforms within the wider IT ecosystem. Education (Desirable) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Digital, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline, or professional certifications in cloud, data, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, Agile, or IT service management disciplines. Experience 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise digital, data, or digital platforms in complex environments. Proven experience delivering and operating enterprise-scale supply chain digital solutions covering manufacturing, warehouse management, logistics, and related business domains.
