- Implement and monitor company HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems.* Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify unsafe conditions and practices.* Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to approved safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Assist management in developing and improving HSE programs and initiatives.* Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Hazard Identification (HAZID) studies.* Monitor implementation of risk mitigation measures and verify their effectiveness.
- Ensure appropriate control measures are applied before commencement of high-risk activities.* Investigate accidents, incidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts or conditions.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend preventive measures.* Track corrective actions and ensure timely closure of safety observations and non-conformances.
- Maintain records and statistical data related to safety performance.* Conduct safety inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns.* Promote safety awareness and encourage proactive reporting of hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Support competency development through safety training programs and drills.* Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans.
- Participate in emergency drills, evacuation exercises, and crisis management activities.* Ensure emergency equipment and facilities are regularly inspected and maintained.
- Support emergency response teams during incidents and emergencies.* Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, permits, and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and safety standards.* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports for management review.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors during inspections and audits.* Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Conduct site safety inspections and safety walkthroughs.* Verify that equipment, tools, and machinery are operated safely and maintained properly.
- Ensure work sites remain free from unsafe conditions and environmental risks.
