We are looking for a contractor Analyser Technician to support a Large Scale Petrochemical project in Antwerp.
RESPONSIBILITIES Maintenance

• Maintenance of on-line analysis equipment;
• Participate in the definition of the maintenance plan of on-line analysis devices;
• Helping to implement the periodic maintenance plan, i.e. evaluation of the on-line data; calibration/maintenance of the analyzers, management of the data;
• Managing consumables and spare parts;
• Troubleshooting and restoring on-line and portable devices;
• Follow-up of maintenance work carried out by external companies;
• Submit proposals to optimise the operation of the on-line and portable devices;
• Participating in a waiting system to guarantee both the quality and safety of the production process.

Projects

• Participate in projects related to the commissioning of new on-line or portable devices, including the definition of requirements, market research, testing of new devices;
• Participate in the operation of new on-line or portable devices;
• Participate in the start-up of a new production plant by employing the new analyzers;
• To ensure the training of other technicians and users.

HSE

• Reporting and reporting of safety and environmental incidents and of dangerous situations. Investigate possible causes and propose corrective actions within one's own field of expertise;
• Drawing up and following up work orders and work permits;
• Keeping the workshops clean and safe (housekeeping);
• Sorting of waste;
• Participate in the periodic Task Risk Analyses.
• The Analyzer Technician carries out his/her duties in accordance with the 20 safety principles and the "Life Saving Rules". He/she is an ambassador of these principles to employees, contractors and visitors alike. This is reflected in a concern for the safety and health of all those present on the site and for the environment.

PROFILE

• You think and work at the bachelor's level, preferably with a bachelor's degree in chemistry (in Process Technology) or a bachelor's degree in measurement and control technology; An equivalent level through experience is sufficient.
• Several years of experience in a process analysis/analysis/PAT environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel is a requirement, in addition to general PC knowledge.
• Knowledge of measurement techniques within the chemical industry.
• Knowledge of gas chromatography, SAP
• You speak fluent Dutch plus solid technical knowledge of English. Basic knowledge of French or German is a plus.
• You work meticulously, result-oriented and take initiative in improvement proposals.
• You are strong in logical reasoning.
• You have a solution-oriented view.
• You act according to the strict safety principles and are quality and environmentally conscious.
• You function well in a team, but you can also work independently.
