Storeman

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels at all times.
• Ensure timely receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials and equipment.
• Prevent stock shortages, overstocking, and material losses.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse/store environment.
• Ensure all inventory transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Support operational requirements by ensuring materials are available when needed.
• Minimize waste, damage, and obsolete inventory.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Improve inventory efficiency and storage utilization through effective stock management.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store materials and equipment.
• Issue stock as required and record all transactions.
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock records.
• Conduct regular stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and request replenishment when needed.
• Keep the store area clean, organized, safe, and secure.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards
• Prepare inventory, receiving, and stock movement reports.
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and suppliers regarding material requirements and deliveries.
• Monitor shelf life, expiry dates, and condition of stored materials where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual material movement.
• Understanding of workplace safety and housekeeping requirements.
