Civil Specialist - Milan Location: Milan, Italy Contract: 18-Month Contract Working Pattern: Residential, 5 Days per Week / 8 Hours per Day Rate: Hourly Rate We are supporting a major water handling facility project and are looking for an experienced Civil Specialist to join the project team in Milan. The role will support the project through the Detailed Design and EPC phase, with a focus on civil engineering activities covering site development, ground works, foundations, infrastructure, and underground services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Specialist to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on a major industrial project. The Role The Civil Specialist will provide technical support across the civil engineering scope, focusing primarily on ground conditions, foundations, infrastructure, and site works. You will be involved in a broad range of civil engineering activities throughout the detailed design and EPC phases, working closely with other engineering disciplines and the wider project team. Key Responsibilities Support and coordinate topographic, geotechnical, and geophysical surveys Review requirements for underground detection and investigation Provide technical input relating to ground conditions and site development Support site grading and earthworks activities Provide technical input into foundation design Review excavation and backfill requirements Support the design and development of roads and pavements Coordinate requirements for drainage systems Support the design and coordination of underground utilities Provide technical input for temporary facilities required to support construction activities Coordinate civil engineering interfaces with other disciplines Support the resolution of technical queries and design issues during the EPC phase Ensure civil engineering activities are aligned with project requirements and the overall design Candidate Profile Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Strong experience in civil engineering within major industrial, infrastructure, energy, or water projects Experience covering ground works, foundations, earthworks, roads, drainage, and underground utilities Experience with topographic, geotechnical, and/or geophysical surveys Experience working through Detailed Design and EPC phases Strong understanding of civil engineering interfaces within multidisciplinary projects Good technical coordination and communication skills Good English language skills
