Structural Specialist - Milan Location: Milan, Italy Contract: 18-Month Contract Working Pattern: Residential, 5 Days per Week / 8 Hours per Day Rate: Hourly Rate We are supporting a major water handling facility project and are looking for an experienced Structural Specialist to join the project team in Milan. The role will support the project through the Detailed Design and EPC phase, with a particular focus on steelwork, structural connections, pipe racks, and building structures. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Structural Specialist to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on a major industrial project. The Role The Structural Specialist will provide technical engineering support across the structural scope, working closely with civil, piping, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the structural requirements of the facility are effectively delivered. Key Responsibilities Provide structural engineering support throughout the Detailed Design and EPC phases Support steelwork design activities Review and develop structural connections Provide technical input into the design of pipe racks Support structural design activities associated with buildings Review structural engineering deliverables and ensure they meet project requirements Coordinate structural interfaces with civil, piping, mechanical, and other disciplines Support the resolution of structural engineering queries and technical issues Provide technical input during EPC execution Coordinate with the wider engineering team to ensure structural requirements are incorporated into the overall project design Candidate Profile Degree or equivalent qualification in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline Strong structural engineering experience within major industrial, energy, infrastructure, or water projects Proven experience with steelwork design and structural connections Experience with pipe rack design Experience with structural design of industrial buildings Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams Previous experience through the Detailed Design and EPC phases Strong technical coordination and communication skills Good English language skills
