Senior Environmental Advisor

The appointment may be made at Senior Environmental Advisor or Environmental Advisor level, depending on the expertise and experience of the successful candidate. The position is based in Perth and offered as a two-year contract.
Key Responsibilities Project manage inland waters studies of varying complexity and scale across multiple environmental disciplines.
Prepare detailed scopes of work with input from technical specialists, environmental approvals personnel and study managers.
Plan and facilitate inland waters risk assessments.
Advise on the mitigation hierarchy and appropriate environmental impact triggers and thresholds.
Support the development and implementation of inland waters management plans.
Coordinate environmental monitoring and ensure data and technical deliverables are captured to a high standard.
Provide advice on relevant regulatory frameworks and decision-making authority expectations.
Review technical studies, scopes of work, environmental impact assessments and management plans.
Guide stakeholder consultation planning and the preparation of consultation materials.
Build productive relationships with regulators, academic institutions, industry representatives and technical specialists.
