Lead and provide direction to the Mine Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical, Ventilation, and Survey teams.
Ensure operational priorities are aligned with technical service forecasts, budgets, and Life of Mine objectives.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Lead the development and execution of short-, medium-, and long-term underground mine plans aligned to budget.
Translate Life of Mine strategy into executable weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual production plans.
Review and approve mine designs, development plans, stope designs, production schedules, and extraction strategies.
Lead production geology activities, including grade control, ore reconciliation, delineation drilling, and resource model application.
Minimize ore loss and dilution through effective geological interpretation, operational controls, and reconciliation processes.
Oversee geotechnical programs related to underground ground stability, rock mechanics, stope stability, sequencing, and excavation design.
Ensure ground support standards, monitoring programs, ventilation systems, and technical controls are effectively implemented and maintained.
Ensure compliance with mine design standards, engineering specifications, and Ontario mining regulations.
Identify and mitigate technical risks that may impact safety, production, or mine economics.
Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Processing teams to support mine performance objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, mine recovery, dilution control, cost reduction, and technical performance.
Prepare and present technical reports, forecasts, operational updates, reconciliation results, and technical KPIs to site leadership.
